Today we worked with a new customer who has a website, but had lost all of her login information for the domain, hosting, and website management. She also wasn’t totally clear on the difference between all of those things, nor could she remember which email addresses she used to sign up for all of it.

This happens more often than you think, for many reasons. Sometimes people just forget. Employees who set up things leave the company. Emails used to register and verify fall out of use. That big password sheet gets lost. We even had one client whose webmaster passed away and left no records.
Thankfully, most of the time, we are able to do some sleuthing and figure out how to recover all the lost information. And for all of our clients – we give you a list of your logins, your passwords, and an explanation about how they all relate. We also keep a copy of your records in a couple of places, so even if you can’t find your password sheet, we still may be able to help.
